Storage Harrow Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps Storage Harrow has taken, and continues to take, to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring within our business operations and supply chains. Storage Harrow recognises its responsibility to uphold human rights and is committed to acting ethically, transparently and with integrity in all business dealings.
Our Zero-Tolerance Approach
Storage Harrow maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, servitude, child labour and human trafficking. This applies to every aspect of our business, including the hiring and treatment of our own employees and the conduct of our suppliers, contractors and business partners.
All colleagues, regardless of role or seniority, are expected to support this commitment and to act in a way that is consistent with our values. Any suspicion or evidence of modern slavery relating to our operations or supply chain will be treated with the utmost seriousness and may result in the termination of business relationships and, where appropriate, reporting to the relevant authorities.
Our Business and Supply Chain
Storage Harrow operates storage and associated services and works with a range of suppliers that provide goods, services and labour. These include facilities management providers, construction and maintenance contractors, equipment suppliers and professional service firms.
We recognise that certain sectors and geographies present higher risks of modern slavery. Storage Harrow seeks to understand where these risks may arise in our supply chain so we can focus our efforts on the areas where we can have the greatest impact.
Supplier Standards and Audits
We expect our suppliers and business partners to uphold the same high standards we apply to ourselves. Storage Harrow requires suppliers to operate in a manner that respects human rights, provides safe working conditions and prohibits any form of forced or exploitative labour.
As part of our approach, we undertake checks on new suppliers where modern slavery risks may be present. This may include due diligence on ownership, employment practices and sourcing arrangements. We reserve the right to conduct site visits or independent audits of suppliers where we consider the risk profile to be higher or where concerns are raised.
Where a supplier is found to be in breach of our standards, we will take appropriate action. This may include corrective action plans, closer monitoring, suspension of orders or termination of contracts depending on the severity of the issue and the supplier's willingness to remedy the situation.
Training, Awareness and Reporting Channels
Storage Harrow is committed to raising awareness of modern slavery risks among employees, particularly those involved in procurement, contract management and facilities operations. Relevant staff receive guidance to help them identify signs of exploitation and understand how to respond to concerns.
We encourage all employees, suppliers and other stakeholders to report any concerns about potential modern slavery or unethical practices related to our business or supply chains. Reports can be made through internal reporting lines, directly to management or through any established whistleblowing channels operated by or on behalf of Storage Harrow. All concerns will be taken seriously, treated sensitively and investigated promptly.
No one who raises a concern in good faith will suffer any detrimental treatment as a result of speaking up.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
Storage Harrow recognises that tackling modern slavery is an ongoing and evolving responsibility. We are committed to continually improving our processes, due diligence and risk assessments to better identify, prevent and address modern slavery risks.
This Modern Slavery Statement will be reviewed annually to ensure it remains accurate, relevant and aligned with best practice and any changes in legislation or our business operations. As part of this review, we will assess the effectiveness of our policies and procedures, feedback from stakeholders and any incidents or concerns raised during the year.
By maintaining a zero-tolerance stance, engaging proactively with our suppliers and empowering people to speak up, Storage Harrow aims to play its part in combating modern slavery and promoting fair and ethical treatment for all workers connected to our business.
